Estadio Arquitecto Ricardo Etcheverry is a football stadium located in the Caballito district of Buenos Aires. It is the home venue of Ferro Carril Oeste. The stadium was opened in 1905, and has a current capacity of 24,442.[1]
It is located close to the Primera Junta station on Line A of the Metro.
The stadium was officially named Arquitecto Ricardo Etcheverri in 1995 in honour of Ricardo Etcheverri who served as the club vicepresident for 30 years. It has been known as "El Templo de Madera" or "El Monumental de Madera" due to the wooden construction of some of the stands.
In 1996 the stadium hosted a concert by Page & Plant.[2]
